Dr. Patty Palumbo – Search & Rescue of Central Florida

In this episode of All My Children Wear Fur Coats, Dr. Patty Palumbo shares her insights on the world of search and rescue, her veterinary practice, and the unique challenges and rewards of both professions.

Dr. Palumbo entered search and rescue to give back to the community and bond with her dog. Her dogs are trained to be human remains detection dogs, and she highlighted the extensive training both handlers and their dogs undergo, including yearly certification tests that are stringent and challenging.

In the world of search and rescue, there are various types of search dogs, each specializing in different aspects, such as tracking, trailing, water rescue, and more. Dr. Palumbo emphasized that a dog’s drive and enthusiasm for work are more important than their breed, making it an inclusive field for most dog breeds.

Nancy Zintsmaster – The Resnick Method Liberty Horsemanship

In this episode of All My Children Wear Fur Coats, we had the privilege of speaking to Nancy Zintsmaster, the Co-Founder and Master Trainer of The Resnick Method Liberty Horsemanship. 

Carolyn Resnick, the founder, and her business partner, Nancy, testify to the transformational power of the Resnick Method. Like many, Nancy had been drawn to horses since childhood and sought their company every chance she got. But it wasn’t until she found Carolyn’s book called Naked Liberty that she understood the depth of connection.

The academy is meant to empower people who need help connecting to their horse’s heart and help people understand how to use horses as our guides for self-realization to address the whole being, mind, body, and spirit. 

The mission of The Resnick Method Liberty Horsemanship is to help grow the new world consciousness ready to receive this next step in valuing horses as teachers and healers, making the horse a true partner in our journey of self-healing, personal growth, and transformation.

Tricia Montgomery – Moose’s March

Tricia’s journey into the world of pet advocacy is an inspiring one, marked by transformation, dedication, and a profound love for animals. With over 20 years of experience driving growth in the veterinary health, animal welfare, and wellness industries, Tricia’s journey led her to create Moose’s March, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that’s making a real difference.

Tricia’s journey began with a visit to her veterinarian, Dr. Glenn Mayer, with her dog Louie. Dr. Mayer’s observation about Louie’s health had a profound impact. Not only did he tell Tricia that Louie was gaining weight, but he also commented on Tricia’s weight. This was a turning point that led to personal transformation, both for her and Louie.

Driven by her personal transformation, Tricia’s career path shifted. Tricia asked Dr. Mayer for a job despite her lack of experience in the field. Surprisingly, Dr. Mayer accepted. This opportunity allowed her to immerse herself in the world of veterinary health and animal welfare, laying the foundation for what was to come.

Angela Ardolino – CBD Dog Health

In this episode of All My Children Wear Fur Coats, we had the privilege of speaking to Angela Ardolino, founder of CBD Dog Health. CBD Dog Health offers high quality, all-natural, medical cannabis products designed specifically for pets.

In 2015, Angela was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis, and she was prescribed Humira. Humira is a medicine that’s prescribed simply for all auto-immune diseases.  Upon inspection, Angela realized that Humira is very commonly linked to Lymphoma. At this point, Angela knew she had to turn elsewhere for help.

Angela lives a very holistic life, so she immediately turned to nature to find the best possible option for her. Nature’s answer was the cannabis plant.

Soon after using cannabis medically, her joint pain washed away. That wasn’t the only change Angela felt. She realized that her stress and anxiety levels had gone down as well. She was also able to sleep better, and overall quality of life had improved.

Angela went down a rabbit hole trying to figure out if anyone else was having these experiences with cannabis. She stumbled upon Canna-Moms. Canna-Moms is a group of mothers around the county using cannabis medically to treat their kids. These moms are treating anything from cancer to seizures using cannabis. They’ve found that using cannabis has greatly improved quality of life for the kids and their parents.

In this episode of All My Children Wear Fur Coats, we had the privilege of speaking to Kathy Boyle. Kathy is the founder and president of Chapin Hill Advisors. Chapin Hill Advisors, Inc. Kathy is passionate about animal rescue and educating children about healthy alternatives for better living.

Kathy joins us today to talk about the Golden Project.

Kathy has been very passionate about animal rescue for the last 25 years. She has always had a lot of her own animals, ranging anywhere from guinea pigs and chinchillas to dogs and horses. Kathy brings to our attention that most rescues lack organization.

Most rescues are volunteer-based and bring in very little revenue, this makes it hard for a rescue to stay functional and efficient. Kathy’s frustration with rescues is that they do not run like businesses. They do not have systems in place to keep things running smoothly. They don’t use adoption software or email marketing software that is readily available and at their fingertips.
