In a recent episode of All My Children Wear Fur Coats, we met up with Dr. Pol and Diane Pol at Global Pet Expo 2024 (our third time meeting them), to hear about their recent activities including their new line of pet food, animal feed, and wellness products.

Dr. Pol’s love for animals began on his family’s dairy farm in the Netherlands. At a young age, he knew he wanted to become a veterinarian. Dr. Pol attended Utrecht University and graduated in 1970. After practicing veterinarian medicine for over a decade, he moved to Weidman, Michigan to start his own practice. In 2011, Dr. Pol teamed up with Nat Geo WILD to showcase his experience as a veterinarian. The show followed Dr. Pol as he travelled throughout rural Michigan, tending to various animals for 14 hours a day.

Sue Alexander is a certified professional dog trainer, and a certified K9 behavioral consultant.

Sue owns and operates Dogs in the Park, which offers in-person and virtual classes for obedience and behavior programming. She also owns and operates Dog Trainer’s Crucible, a consulting company for dog training businesses. On top of that, she owns and administers Losing Lulu, a website intended to support individuals who have lost an animal to behavioral problems.
