In a recent episode of All My Children Wear Fur Coats, Jenni Morse opened up about balancing motherhood and entrepreneurship, while sharing the story behind StitchLeash — her innovative, all-in-one, customizable dog leash.

Jenni Morse is the founder and chief innovator of Made Simpli, the manufacturer of StitchLeash. StitchLeash was developed by Jenni to address the challenges she faced while juggling multiple dogs, her children, and various items during walks. Between water bottles, waste bag dispensers, and keys, Jenni simply didn’t have enough hands to manage it all. When her son, Cooper, suggested attaching something to the leash, Jenni had an epiphany, discovering a simple solution that would make her walks more convenient and enjoyable.

What sets StitchLeash apart from standard leashes is its built-in hooks, designed to secure a variety of attachable accessories. In addition to the standard waste bag dispenser and used waste bag holder that come with every leash, dog owners can customize their StitchLeash with additions like hand sanitizer, tennis ball holders, or anything else they might need on their walk. The stitch leash is available in multiple colors and sizes, offering both retractable and fixed-length versions to suit every dog’s need.

Jenni highlighted some of StitchLeash’s thoughtful safety features. Reflective stitching makes it easier to spot your dog in low lighting. For added control, the Bryce Nylon Leash includes an extra traffic handle, while the Coops Retractable Leash features a secure locking mechanism with a quick-lock and release button.

Jenni shared how she manages the demands of family life while successfully running her business. She explained how she embraces a work-life integration approach, noting that her children are now accustomed to her early morning meetings and her ability to make use of downtime by working on her tablet. Just as her inventor father inspired her to pursue an innovative path, Jenni is now inspiring her sons — with Cooper following in her footsteps as a third-generation inventor. Jenni proudly donates 10% of her profits to animal welfare, a commitment she views as a natural extension of her family values. In doing so, she hopes to instill in her sons the importance of giving back to the community.
